Please spend two minutes to read this fully.I'm not sure how many of you came to know about the IIT(Indian Insitutue of Technology) methodology of admitting students.
This thread I initiated to let you know how much flaws in the IIT admission process which dully supports only to high class people and upper middle class students those having educated parents.
IIT is only an dream for an below middle class or financilay weakened students.

Points:

1.IIT application fees cost is too high which cannot be afford by a poor student (Around Rs 900).Though there are some reduction for womens and SC/ST's how IIT decided all the Backward community students or rural students are financially potential enough to buy an application form cost Rs 900

Entrance exam - IIT -JEE

2.There will be very tough Entrance exam with questions cannot be easily solved by an usual science or maths teachers working in schools.
3.To crack or clear the exam student should have indepth knowledge and they have to prepare for the exams from their 9th of 10th standard onwards under the guidence of good teachers.
4.I agree the exams are designed so tough to recruit students who's having very good understanding in the subject by IIT.
But what is actually happens in the commercial world.

There are number of Tution center running their business by training students for this IIT -JEE exams. Ex: ( FIT-JEE,Aspire)

Especially FIT-JEE an multicrore enterprise proudly announcing that for the last 5 years their students who have joined the course have cracked the exams and around 60% of their students clear the exam.

They are charging around Rs 20,000 to 30,000 for a long duration course and the fees are in thousands for crash course..They have well equiped infrastructure and faculty..Their experienced mock exams help lot of students to clear the exam...
Ideally what this tution centers are saying like if an student can spend money in thousand and thousands they can clear the exam with their guidance and also more than 80 %(from various tution center) of students can cleared the IIT-JEE with the help of special coaching..
So if you have money and patience to learn you can win..

Now the question is:

If considerable percentage of students around (80%)who trained by a IIT tutor companies like (FIT -JEE and aspire) by paying huge course fees crack the exam then what about the students who are studing south tamilnadu or any other rural areas...
Do they have any study center providing cheap course fee for IIT preparation?
What happen to a student who's parent are uneducated (working as a daily wager or farmers) ?
Who will guide them to prepare for the exams? The exams are in English or Hindi? How can an Tamil medium student can face the exam?
Those IIT Entrance cracking centers are operating only on major cities then what abt the students from municipals and towns?
Is it easy for an high school teacher to guide an IIT entrance preparation, I am damn sure it is not easy for them ?
So what are the oppurtunities infront of a rural or financially weekened students to prepare for IIT exams?
I am sure more than 70% of higher secondary students not aware of what is IIT? Only students having educated parents have the oppurtunity to know?
Is it any regulations that IIT students should have financially well with educated parents?
Please we urge to revise the IIT entrance procedures...otherwise the young talents from rural or poor students shall not have even a single entry point to think about IIT?
This IIT entrance coaching centers are run by Ex-IIT professors so they are making crores of money..
IIT should allocate certain percentage of seats to rural students and financial weekened as well. They must consider the Seat reservation for Backward classes...
Those who are raising voice against the seat reservation please go and visit the village schools and huts and slums ..They can realize still how many students are studying under street lamps... May be their father and mother have earned lot of money and they can guide but
who can guide the poor students.. Please give some space to financially weakened people to live in the world.........
We need reservation for poor and rural students in IIT's not only back ward classes..
Talents can be obtained from huts also.......
